Sew Creative Blog's DIY Fourth Of July Ideas Kids Can Help Craft

The Fourth of July is right around the corner, so I decided to compile my favorite July 4th crafts, food, decorations and activities that kids can help make!

“Wait a second… Isn’t she Canadian?” some of you may be asking. Why yes I am Canadian BUT I am also American. In fact I was born and raised in Washington State and didn’t move to Canada until I was 19 years old. The Fourth of July is such a big deal in the US. I have such fond memories of celebrating July 4th and still try to get down to the US as often as possible to celebrate all things red, white and blue with family and friends.

Here are a few of my favorite Fourth of July ideas that are kid friendly collected from Pinterest. You can follow me on Pinterest here.

Fourth of July Clothespin WreathMy girlie girl gets so excited every time I pull our the paints. She would have so much fun helping me paint all of the clothespins that are used in this Fourth of July Clothespin Wreath from Cat’s Craft Room (and then telling everyone who came to our door that she helped make it.)

Fourth of July Tin Can WindsocksA couple years ago I decided I was going to start make spaghetti sauce from scratch instead of buying it from the grocery store. I frequently buy very large cans of peeled tomatoes at Costco and whip up a big batch of sauce. The Hubs insists that we keep the super sized cans every single time. “It will come in handy… someday” he tells me. Well Hubs… that day may have come. How cute are these Tin Can Windsocks from Random Thoughts of a Supermom? I heart them.
